Ulterior Motive was founded because we got depressed when we went shopping for men's accessories just to find that they are all dull, traditional, and ridiculously expensive.

We believe there is a suppressed desire among men today to wear accessories, like ties and cuff links, to a greater extent than just at work or an up-tight dinner. And we believe we have the attitude and visual language to spark and meet that desire.
